Hello! I teach English Language Learners at GW School.
Students who speak a language other than English at home are identified and tested at the beginning of the school year, or at the time of their entry into our school. Depending on proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing, the student may enter our program.
Our ELL Program supports and extends what the children learn in the classroom. We learn language through the content areas. Our ELL classroom is a safe and welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds.
As the ELL teacher, I work closely with classroom teachers to support the students in their learning.
