    Mrs. Salandra has worked in the Edgewater School District since 2005 and currently serves GW as an ESL Teacher.  In addition to working with students in K-2 in ESL, Mrs. Salandra has also recently been named to serve on the NJ Department of Education's Bilingual Advisory Committee for English Language Learner Education.  She has been instrumental in the development of the ESL and Bilingual programs at GW School that positively educate a wide range of students every year.  She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from Villanova University and her Master's Degree from Mercy College.  She received her ESL Certification through Rowan Unversity, and is certified in P-3, K-5, and ESL.    She lives in Bloomfield with her husband and three daughters. 
    Congratulations to Mrs. Salandra on a well-deserved honor!! 



    Pre-K Registration is now complete for September, 2018.

    The lottery for selecting pre-k students was held on Tuesday, February 13.  All applicants have been notified via email of their standing.

    Children may begin school 48 hours after registration has been completed. 

    Pre-K classes are filled for the 2017-2018 school year.

    The George Washington School serves the students of Edgewater in grades K-2 and offers a tuition-based preschool program for Edgewater residents.  Students in grades 3-6 attend Eleanor Van Gelder School.  Students in grades 7-12 attend Leonia Public Schools.  To view each of our school's websites, select a school at the top of this page.  To view the website for Leonia Public Schools, click here.  
    Visitor Parking for George Washington School is available on Undercliff Avenue and on surrounding side streets.
    Student drop off is 7:55-8:15 daily and dismissal is at 2:49 for both walkers and bussers.
