  • Students are not to have medications (including over the counter) with them in the classroom unless otherwise indicated by their physician.
  • All medications to be taken (including over the counter, ie Tylenol, Motrin, etc.) in school MUST have a physician's order.
  • Prescribed medications to be given by the school nurse at school are only good for 1 school year. Orders must be renewed and submitted to the health office annually.
  • All prescribed medications must be labeled by the student's pharmacy. Label should include: Name of child, name of medication, dose, route, and frequency.
  • All expired medications will be discarded by the school nurse without notice unless parent/guardian state otherwise.
  • All medications are to be picked up by the parent/guardian at the end of the school year and will not be sent home with the student. If they are not picked up, they will be discarded.
