3rd grade | Whole class “push-in” instruction once per month and daily classroom differentiation | Teachers complete checklists/questionnaire students who may be eligible for services by the end of 3rd grade. |
Eligibility & Identification timeline process:
3rd grade | Spring/June: Families/caregivers are informed their child is eligible for pull-out enrichment services in 4th grade and requests permission to complete the CogAT assessment. | The Enrichment teacher collects the classroom teacher checklists. Enrichment teacher and principal communicate with families/caregivers through email or hardcopy letter. |

June: 3rd graders complete CogAT. Families/caregivers receive results at the end of June. | Enrichment teacher administers and scores the CogAT. Enrichment teacher and administration review CogAT results and additional qualification measures. Families/caregivers are emailed or mailed CogAT results. | |
4th, 5th, 6th grades | Winter/January: CogAT can be administered for any students eligible and meet the criteria for Enrichment services. |
Enrichment pull-out schedule:
4th grade | 2 class periods per week |

*Families/caregivers of identified students will receive a Welcome Letter in early September.
