As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to express my sincere gratitude to every member of our Edgewater family—students, families, staff, and community partners. This season offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the dedication, care, and collaboration that make our district such a vibrant and supportive place for teaching and learning.
I am grateful for our students, whose curiosity and resilience inspire us each day; for our families, whose partnership strengthens the foundation of student success; and for our staff, whose professionalism, compassion, and commitment have a profound impact on our school community. Your collective efforts create the safe, welcoming, and engaging environment that defines Edgewater.

As we observe Veterans Day, we pause to honor and express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who have served—and continue to serve—our country with courage, dedication, and sacrifice. Their commitment to protecting the freedoms we cherish reminds us of the importance of service, unity, and compassion in our own lives and communities.
Across the Edgewater School District, students and staff are taking time to reflect on the meaning of this important day through classroom discussions and acts of appreciation. These moments help our students understand the value of service and the lasting impact of those who have worn our nation’s uniform.

Dear Edgewater School Community,
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to those who participated in our first Caregiver Academy, focused on the important topic of chronic absenteeism. While the weather created challenges for many to attend in person, we appreciate those who were able to join and share their insights. Moving forward, we will offer a virtual option for future sessions to ensure greater access and participation.
Together, we explored how consistent attendance directly impacts student learning, growth, and long-term success—and most importantly, how we can work as a team to support our children in getting to school every day, ready to learn.

On October 16, 2025, administrators from the Edgewater and Leonia School Districts met for an Interdistrict Administrative Summit hosted by the Leonia Board of Education. The meeting served to strengthen collaboration and shared planning within the long-standing send/receive relationship between the two districts.

Greetings Edgewater School Community,
There are two federal programs available to help families with the cost of phone and internet services: Lifeline and the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which also includes the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program.
Lifeline is a federal program designed to make phone and internet service more affordable for low-income households.
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) helps eligible households pay for internet service and connected devices such as laptops or tablets.
While eligibility criteria for each program vary slightly, families who qualify for Lifeline are also eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program. To apply for one or both programs, you will need documentation such as proof of income (e.g., pay stubs) or proof of enrollment in a qualifying federal assistance program.
Once eligibility is confirmed, families can connect with a participating service provider to begin receiving benefits.
